The head of a wolf in three quarters profile emerges from one side of her face, its snout protruding from her cheek. These merged visages are reminiscent of fairy tale transformations, most notably the Big Bad Wolf’s deception in posing as Little Red Riding Hood’s grandmother. The work’s textured surface is given further dimensionality with the embellishment of the wolf woman’s festive dress to include a necklace of colored pompom balls.
