Boyle Family made many works of burnt substances like wood, rusting metal and building material such as brick and concrete found on a demolition site in London between 1989 and 1991. This work is an active one, depicting the remnants of destruction and industrial detritus reminiscent in color and form to important earlier works made on a London lorry park site in the 1970s.
